Today for lunch I decided to try Victor's on FM 1960. I had spotted it a few times on my way back from a animal shelter that I volunteer at on Sundays. The place looked interesting, so I decided to look at their menu online. On Victor's menu I saw that they had a veggie burger and I just had try it. If you don't already know. I love veggie burgers!

So after calling and ordering my veggie burger. I walked in and got my meal. The staff were very friendly and nice. I ordered take out since I was on my way home and I don't really like eating by myself at restaurants. Victor's has apparently been around since 1988.

My thoughts? I thought the veggie burger was delicious! The bean patty was soft and easy to chew. They didn't give me much fries as you can see in the picture, but they were big, so that kind of made up for it. I do love my fries though as well. But since this was a veggie burger and not a real burger it was ok.

I really enjoyed my Victor's veggie burger and hope to stop by and try out one of their other menu items one day.

Skewers: Chicken Shwarma Entree

Yesterday, or earlier during the night I went to see a movie with a movie meetup group at a theater located in Houston. Across from this theater was a Mediterranean restaurant called Skewers. The picture above is the Chicken Shwarma Entree that I ordered. The price was a little high, but the food was good and worth every penny!

I really enjoyed my time at Skewers. The staff was very nice and wanted to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. Both the restaurant manager and the chef came to our table to ask if we enjoyed our food. Both of them smiled as they walked by.

There wasn't anything that I didn't like about Skewers. Except for the price which was a little bit more than I wanted to spend. But like I said. "It was worth every penny!"

The service was good and the food came in a timely manner. The chicken was warm and cooked to perfection. They even let us stay after they had closed. They did not seem to be bothered by us at all.

I think Skewers is a great place that is definitely worth your time and effort. If you are in the Houston area and are in the mood for Mediterranean food then Skewers is the place to go.

Hello fellow foodies! Today I decided to try out a new fast food restaurant called Ritter's. I happened upon it on my way to another fast food restaurant that ended up being closed. So I thought I might as well try out Ritter's since it was on the way.
Now to be fair Ritter's is mostly a ice cream/frozen beverage type of restaurant that doesn't focus on food. In fact I only saw the hamburger as a choice on one of their small menus. It is mostly a ice cream/frozen beverage type of place.
The hamburger was ok and so were the fries. I really enjoyed the super large Pepsi that they gave me. They have very friendly staff working there. I highly recommend giving Ritter's a try. I hope to tryout one of their frozen beverages. Maybe next time!
